FMCT ED YOUTH CONSERVATORY – Winter 2020

Class Sessions = January 18 – March 7th | Showcase = March 7th at 3:00 p.m.

 

Musical Theatre:  Music from Frozen

Grades K-1-2; Saturdays 9:00-10:30am                 Tuition = $120 ($15/week)

 

Triple threat time! Students will tackle challenging (and fun!) harmonies, and choreography, pushing themselves both physically and vocally. Through discipline and artistic expression, students will strengthen and develop their performance skills in a multidisciplinary environment.

Grades 3-4-5; Saturdays 9:00-10:30am                  Tuition = $120 ($15/week)

Grades 1-2; Saturdays 10:45-11:45am                   Tuition = $96 ($12/week)

 

Beloved children’s books serve as the foundation for our dramatic adventures. We will work together to create new characters, dramatic situations, and exciting opportunities for creative and heroic problem solving.

Making Faces- Make Up Class 4 Week Course – Begins Jan 18th ends Feb 8th

Grades 4 – 8; Saturdays 11:45 – 1:00

 

Learn basic corrective, aging, bruises, scars, and animal make-up for the stage.

Stage Make Up included in class.                          Tuition = $60 ($15/week)

 

 

Acting:  Middle School Acting – Working the Craft

Grades 5-8; Saturdays 1:00-2:15pm                  Tuition = $120 ($15/week)

 

Actors will explore the core principles of acting, including voice and movement, theatre vocabulary, objectives and obstacles, as well as the importance of risk-taking and ensemble building.

 

 

The Treble-Makers Choir:  Show Choir

Grades 5th and older; Saturdays 1:00-2:15pm                 Tuition = $150 ($19/week)

 

Join our treble performance group combining choral singing with choreographed movement and dance.

 

 

Rock Band:  Beginner Band Prerequisite: 1-2 years of instruction on instrument.

Grades 5th and older; Saturdays 12:30-2:00pm                  Tuition = $150 ($19/week)

 

This course is designed for students who want to develop music-making skills and music literacy using primarily rock and pop music.

 

 

One Act:  Separate Performance February 28th at 7:30 at Studio 6– Not included in Showcase

Grades 7-9; Saturdays 11:45 – 1:00 pm                           Tuition = $150 ($19/week)

 

Students will take their acting and storytelling skills to a new level by rehearsing and performing an in-studio performance of a one-act play.

 

 

Acting:  Adult Acting – Working the Craft – Not included in Showcase

Ages 15 and older; Saturdays 3:45-5:00pm                    Tuition = $100 ($13/week)

Matilda – Pre-Audition Workshop – 5 Week Course – Begins Feb 1st – Ends Feb 29th Not included in Showcase

Grades 3rd and older; Saturdays 2:30-3:45pm              Tuition = $55 ($11/week)

 

Learn the music and choreography of Matilda.  Students will explore the movement and vocalization of FMCT’s upcoming musical with instruction from FMCT’s Matilda Choreographer, Kathy Hanson.
