Behind the Curtain

Ever wonder how a full-time theatre works

and operates?  Bring a group to FMCT’s

facilities at The Stage at Island Park for a

guided tour. The tour will take you on a

behind-the-scenes look at the inner workings

 of a theatre and explain how all elements of

theatre, onstage and offstage, converge and

collaborate to bring a production to the stage. This hour-long tour concludes with an acting game and a team-building exercise.

The tour has a maximum occupancy of 30.

T.A.P! (Theatre Arts Presentation)

This intensive begins with selecting audition material, finding auditions and executing the perfect audition that best represents your talents as an individual. Attendees may prepare a memorized monologue to work during the course, but monologues will also be provided to read. Taught by a professional actor/ casting director.

All ages Elementary through Adult

This presentation has a maximum occupancy of 30.

InterACTING

This after-school introduction to acting brings an FMCTED instructor to your school or academic institution Monday- Friday for a daily one hour session spanning two weeks, teaching the fundamentals of acting and team-building, as well as voice and movement. The program culminates in a small celebration allowing friends, family and school peers to enjoy a short showcase performance demonstrating what the students have learned.

Middle and High School

On Your Mark, Get Set, Act! An Introduction to Storytelling

This after-school introduction to storytelling and make believe focuses on instilling teamwork, imagination, creativity and communication skills. An FMCT ED instructor will lead the group each day Monday- Friday with a different fairy tale while teaching students the foundations of storytelling and story structure. The class favorite fairy tale will be chosen to present in the final week, as the students have a chance to put themselves into the story and present a fairy tale showcase for friends, family and classmates.

Elementary School
