XANADU JR.

 

Grades 6-8  9:00am-4:00pm July 9 – August 3

Monday – Friday

Enrollment: grade most recently completed

 

Students completing grades 6-8 can take a trip back to the 1980s for a month of pop music, glitter, and roller disco as FMCT brings XANADU JR to life on our stage!  All who enroll will be cast in the production with auditions for roles being held the first day of camp.

 

Note:  Xanadu JR. participants will not be expected to roller skate for this production.

 

Our four-week program will foster middle school-aged artists as they further develop to the next level in their theatre education and performance.  Students will receive voice instruction, develop dance skills, explore techniques for character development, and master theater vocabulary and concepts while building ensemble skills through theatre games and exercises.

 

Fee: $325, a souvenir script & rehearsal knapsack

 

Parent Meeting: Tuesday, June 26 at 6:00pm at The Stage at Island Park

 

Auditions for roles will be held the first day of camp.

Create a world that is all your own in this week-long camp based on the popular video game and book series! Using the world of Minecraft as inspiration, create a play utilizing team work and cooperative storytelling skills.

Take a trip to Cherry Tree Lane as students develop their story-telling skills through singing and dancing. Build the connection between body and voice while strengthening vocal skills .

Bring this story of friendship (and snacks) to life as you develop story construction skills, character creation, and teamwork through ensemble activities.  You’ll use actor’s tools of body, voice, and imagination as the dragons, and spices, explore this week!

Bring the wizarding world to life as you create a musical based on the popular book and movie series! Using song, dance, teamwork, and a little magic, tell your own magical musical creating songs and scenes. Creativity and wands will soar in this musical camp!
