The Costume Shop

HELP WANTED: No skills required!! On the job training! Compensation in the form of free tickets. Volunteer calls are open to people of all skill levels. Come in and help Shelly in the costume shop. Activities may include sewing costumes by hand or by machine, putting away costumes in stock, going through new donations, and many other craft projects. Generally, volunteer calls are on Wednesdays from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Click here to check the calendar for posted volunteer call dates and times. Please note: volunteer calls occur in the weeks leading up to a performance, and not during the run of a show. If you are interested in helping outside of regular volunteer hours, give us a call at 235-1901 to check our schedule.

Dresser: (No experience necessary)
Responsibilities: Helping the Head Dresser assist the actors in getting dressed in the proper costume, assisting the actor in quick changes, and gathering items for laundry after each performance.

Commitment: At least one dress rehearsal and as many performances as you can do.

Stitcher: (No experience necessary)
Responsibilities: Helping the Costume Designer build the costumes. Both machine and hand stitching are utilized.
Commitment: Flexible hours: contact the Costume Designer to arrange a schedule.

Make-up and Hair Crew: (No experience necessary)
Responsibilities: Helping the make-up and hair designer create hairstyles on the actors or wigs.
Commitment: All dress rehearsals and all show nights.
